About me: In this life, I was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky, and grew up in a military family. I currently live in Huntsville, Alabama.

  • I had the interesting experiences of living in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Germany, Alabama, Indiana, Colorado, and South Korea. In 2020, I moved from Denver back to Huntsville to be near friends and family and grow my roots.

  • My previous careers include journalist, book and magazine marketing manager for a large craft publisher, English teacher, and event planner, all with some writing on the side.

  • I have a pre-teen son, two dogs, and a sassy cat. You can guess who rules the roost. (The cat). My hobbies are writing, reading, learning about spiritual topics, taking classes, baking artisanal bread, and running a cicada Etsy store for my son.

  • I love road trips and travel, experiencing new cultures, and never tire of streaming reiki to myself, family, friends, and pets.

About my reiki experience:

  • I first heard the term reiki in 1997 from a neighbor studying Indian reiki who described it as healing energy flowing through her hands. Decades later and 1300 miles away, I finally booked my first reiki session to help relieve lower back pain.

  • I entered that treatment room a total skeptic, but when I left the session pain-free, I knew there had to be something powerful linked to reiki. Four years after a serious health diagnosis, I learned how to channel the energy myself and engage in self-healing.

  • Remarkably, I tapped into my clairvoyance and learned I’m able to intuit messages from beyond for both myself and my clients. I believe this gift accentuates reiki and is nothing for a client to worry about. I am a reporter passing along information. (Fun fact: everyone is clairvoyant!)

About my credentials:

  • I’ve been practicing reiki since January 2021 and received my first Reiki Master level in August of 2023. To clarify, “Master” indicates level of teaching received and certified, not that I have “mastered” the art of reiki as a healing art

  • I’m certified in Usui Reiki and Karuna® Reiki, essentially different forms of reiki energy

  • I’m a member of the Reiki Membership Association through the International Center for Reiki Training because I believe it’s important to learn the fundamentals. Please read our code of ethics here and know your sessions are confidential

  • I’m a Licensed Practitioner with the Professional Wellness Alliance

  • I’m currently enrolled for certification in Biosonic Sound Healing with John Beaulieu. When I am certified, I will be able to offer sound bath experiences. For now, I utilize tuning forks, Tibetan bowls, bells, and other simple instruments and will be expanding in the future
